North Korean leader Kim Jong-un was pictured surrounded by a group of crying female soldiers during a visit to a remote army post in North Korea.

Kim visited the women’s company under Unit 5492 of the Korean People’s Army stationed at the country’s southwestern coast.

The women, all sporting identical haircuts and matching uniforms, gathered around the leader as he smiled for cameras in the photograph released by the official North Korean Central News Agency.

Kim was also photographed inspecting the Changrin Islet defence detachment on the western front. He posed with military equipment and a map.

This comes after North Korea warned it would not give President Trump a fresh summit to ‘brag about’ without getting concessions on a nuclear arms deal.

Pyongyang responded to a tweet by Trump in which he hinted at another summit with Kim Jong-un, saying the country has no interest in giving the president further meetings unless it gets something substantial in return.

Officials added that another summit between the two leaders would be ‘useless’ unless Washington makes new offers on nuclear sanctions relief.

Following a US decision to call off joint military exercises with South Korea to create space for diplomacy with the North, Trump urged Kim Jong-un to ‘act quickly, get the deal done’.

The president tweeted on Sunday ‘See you soon!’, and hinted at another summit between the pair.

The tweet was part of Trump’s response to a North Korean news agency describing former vice president Joe Biden as a ‘rabid dog’.

Trump defended his longtime rival and slipped in a request for a new meeting with Kim and urged him to ‘get the deal done’.
