Lynnfield Art Guild to collaborate with North Shore Unitarian Universalist Church for art exhibit

The Lynnfield Art Guild will be hosting an exhibit featuring fine art and photography pieces by 13 Guild members at the North Shore Unitarian Universalist Church in February and March. According to LAG’s website, the pieces will represent a “variety of styles, mediums and themes.”

The LAG, which is in its 60th anniversary year, is a community of artists, artisans, and art explorers. The exhibit is part of the anniversary celebrations and will be open to the public on Sundays. An artist’s reception will be held on Sunday, Feb. 25, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The pieces will be available for purchase to the public.

“This is an exciting collaboration between the Lynnfield Art Guild and the North Shore Unitarian Universalist Church,” according to the LAG’s office. “The exhibit is a celebration of the creative spirit and the local community.”

The North Shore Unitarian Universalist Church, an inclusive congregation that embraces diversity, social justice, and environmental stewardship, organizes various events and activities throughout the year. These include concerts, lectures, workshops, and fundraisers.

Founded in 1964, the LAG works toward providing opportunities for local artists to display and sell their works while networking with different artists. According to its website, graduating seniors from Lynnfield High School are provided with scholarships, while members of the LAG are offered monthly art demonstrations, annual shows, and art exhibitions at local libraries and banks.

According to LAG’s website, several artists will be exhibiting their work at different locations in the coming months. Maryann Trudeau will showcase at Savings Bank from Jan. 17 to Feb. 21, Hedy Sanni’s paintings will be at North Shore Bank until Jan. 31, and Joyce Fukasawa will exhibit in February and March at North Shore Bank. Steve Fantone’s photographs will be displayed at Wakefield Cooperative Bank until Feb. 15. Additionally, Frank Tomasello will present 36 paintings at the Centennial Gallery in Peabody from Jan. 14 to Mar. 9.
