LYNN — Here comes Peter Cottontail, hoppin’ down the Lynn City Hall trail, hippity hoppin’ Easter’s on its way.
This week, the Lynn City Hall foyer has a very special guest: the Easter Bunny.
“It’s a free event for the families and the City of Lynn,” Department of Public Works Associate Commissioner Lisa Nerich said. “We’re giving the residents of Lynn an opportunity to visit the Easter Bunny here at City Hall.”
Nerich said she noticed that most meet-and-greets with the bunny tend to cost money, and with a last-minute idea, she decided to have him come to City Hall for no charge to the community.
Local floral shop, Flowers by Lorraine, donated the decorations for the photo area, and Nerich’s team filled up Easter eggs with chocolates and jelly beans for the kids.
“It’s nice to see the kids come here in City Hall, (it) brings families together,” Nerich said.
The Easter Bunny will be available in the foyer at City Hall on Wednesday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
